DRAMATIC moment a single-engine plane piloted by Queens Assemblyman Clyde Vanel experienced an engine malfunction and had to make an emergency landing along a beach in Long Island, New York, on March 17. No injuries were reported, according to local news. Video recorded by Caelyn Canace, who happened to be walking her dog on the beach while on a lunch break, shows the plane landing on Long Island’s Shoreham Beach. “You can imagine, it was not a regular walk on our beach,” Canace told Storyful. “I realized that something did not look right, and then I was thinking, oh my god this plane was going down.” Vanel posted to Facebook, saying that after his aircraft experienced an “engine failure,” he “landed the airplane at the nearest safe location, while attempting to minimize damage to persons or property.” “I am thankful that I was able to walk away without injury,” Vanel said. New footage has been released of a plane fire which killed 41 people in Moscow last year. The harrowing clips show desperate passengers fleeing 100ft flames after an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo airport. The plane was airborne briefly before returning to make an emergency landing, and, still heavy with unburned fuel, the jet ignited after a rough touchdown. Ten people were injured and 37 people escaped from the plane alive. The pilot Denis Evdokimov has been formally charged with negligence over the crash landing. This is the horrifying moment a private jet exploded in a fireball when it crashed on a road in Malaysia this afternoon - killing all eight onboard and at least two motorists. The plane took off from Langkawi but nosedived onto a highway in the town of Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor province, just short of the airport runway at 2.49 pm local time. It collided with a motorcycle rider killing them instantly along with a second car driver. Footage shows smoke billowing from the wreckage as locals rushed to help. The motorcycle rider's body was also engulfed in flames. Onlookers said the aircraft - a Beechcraft Premier 1 with the tail number N28jV - initially crashed onto the road but continued onto the grass verge. Resident Amahl said: 'The pilot and a passenger were dead at the scene. It crashed onto the road and then went towards the grass.' The chartered plane was reportedly flying from the upmarket island of Langkawi to Subang when it plunged onto the road, just a short distance from the runway at the airport. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim confirmed the incident. Reports indicate that its subsequent dive could have exceeded Mach 1 (the sound barrier). There were no survivors. China Airlines Flight 611 - 225 dead: On 25 May 2002 flight 611 from Taiwan to Hong Kong disintegrated mid-flight due to faulty repairs 22 years earlier. Korean Air Flight 801 - 228 dead: Despite protests from the flight engineer that the captain was not detecting the correct signal for landing, he pressed on and guided flight 801 from Seoul, South Korea directly into the Guam mountainside leaving only 26 survivors. Air France Flight 447 - 228 dead: 1 June 2009 flight 447 disappeared on its way to Paris from Rio de Janeiro. Although the wreckage was found after 5 days the black box was recovered 2 years later. The cause was found to be an inappropriate pilot response to faulty airspeed indicators due to bad weather conditions and ice. Swissair Flight 111 - 229 dead: On 2 September 1998 Swissair flight 111 from New York to Geneva crashed into the ocean just off of Nova Scotia due to a rapidly spreading cockpit fire. 9/11 flights: Although not a single air disaster, the four flights involved in 9/11 were responsible for the greatest single-day loss of life in commercial aviation history. Two of the flights, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 each were responsible for thousands of casualties after being driven into the World Trade Centers and are considered the largest and second-largest losses of life due to individual plane crashes in all of aviation history with 1700 and 1000 people killed respectively. Tenerife Airport Disaster - 583 dead: In terms of passengers and crew killed this collision between two Boeing 747s on the Spanish island of Tenerife is considered the deadliest plane crash in history. Japan Airlines Flight 123 - 520 dead: On August 12, 1985, a flight from Tokyo to Osaka crashed into Mount Takamagahara leaving only 4 survivors. Charkhi Dadri mid-air collision - 349 dead: The deadliest mid-air collision in history, Saudi Arabian airlines, and Kazakhstan airlines crashed just west of New Delhi killing everyone on both planes. An investigation found that once again a lack of English language skills on behalf of the Kazakh pilots was the primary cause. Ermenonville air disaster - 346 dead: After a Moroccan baggage handler was unable to read the proper latching instructions in either English or Turkish on Turkish airlines flight 981, the latch blew off mid-flight as the plane crashed into Ermonville forest near Paris, France. Furthermore, the latches had a known design flaw. Air India Flight 182 - 329 dead: On the 23 of June 1985 a bomb exploded onboard Air India Flight 182 as it was flying between London and Montreal. The plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Ireland. A Canadian Sikh militant group was responsible. Saudia Flight 163 - 301 dead: This flight from Riyadh to Jeddah caught fire shortly after takeoff. It turned around and made an emergency landing but everyone on board died of smoke inhalation before fire crews could get inside. The fire was started due to butane stoves used by Muslim pilgrims because of their strict dietary restrictions. Saudi Arabia has since banned the stoves but some people still smuggle them onboard to make tea. Iran Air Flight 655 - 290 dead: During the Iraq-Iran on July 3, 1988, the USS Vincennes shot down Iran Air Flight 665 going between Tehran and Dubai due to confused communications. Before the accident happened, the two Boeing 747 known as KLM Flight 4805 and Pan Am Flight 1736 got diverted to Los Rodeos airport after having a bomb explosion on the airport of Gran Canaria. The Tenerife airport disaster occurred on March 27, 1977, when two Boeing 747 passenger jets collided on the runway at Los Rodeos Airport (now Tenerife North Airport) on the Spanish island of Tenerife. The collision occurred because the visibility was poor so KLM Flight 4805 initiated its takeoff run while Pan Am Flight 1736 was still on the runway. The impact and resulting fire killed everyone on board KLM 4805 and most of the occupants of Pan Am 1736, with only 61 survivors in the front section of the aircraft. I read every comment! 💬 Help me get to 100k subs, it might be possible! 📶Statistics: Time spent editing this video - 17 hours in 1 week First crash filmed 25 July, video finished 1.5 months later (4 September) *✈️WHY DID THESE DISASTERS OCCUR?* Air Florida Flight 90 struggled to climb and collided with a bridge over the Potomac immediately after takeoff. This was due to the pilots failing to de-ice the engines properly in the snowy weather. Alaska Airlines Flight 261 experienced a malfunction with the horizontal stabilizer which made the plane pitch down uncontrollably. The plane's second dive caused it to violently impact the ocean, making survival impossible for all souls onboard. The plane flew inverted before impact, this was an action of the heroic pilots trying anything to keep the plane from diving. Japan Airlines Flight 123 experience an explosion soon after takeoff due to the aft pressure bulkhead failing. Incorrect repairs after a tail strike seven years prior caused it to weaken. The blast damaged vital instruments and the tail detached, making the 747SR almost uncontrollable. The startled pilots heroically kept the plane in the air for half an hour. #jal123 Air France 447 was providing false speed readings for the pilots due to some instruments freezing. Not knowing what speed they were at, they incorrectly pitched the plane upwards, causing the speed to reduce and the plane was sent into an unrecoverable stall over the Atlantic. #af447 The Tenerife Airport Disaster occured due to a KLM 747 taking off without permission, colliding with a fully loaded PAN AM. Both planes were diverted to this airport and weather conditions were extremely misty, making it too late for the KLM to abort the takeoff once the PAN AM was in sight. Rest In Peace to all people lost in these disasters. Horrifying moment private jet crashes and explodes in a huge fireball in Malaysia. This is the horrifying moment a private jet flying from a luxury holiday island crashed and exploded in a huge fireball on a busy Malaysian road, killing everyone on board and two unfortunate motorists. The plane nosedived onto the tarmac in the town of Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor province, shortly before 3pm local time after departing from the holiday island of Langkawi. Shocking video of the crash showed how the plane immediately erupted into flames as it smashed into the concrete, while a clip of the aftermath saw the wreckage billowing black smoke after it veered off the road and onto the nearby grass verge. So, enjoy you viewing and stay high! A big cargo plane is at the airport waiting for another plane's parts to be loaded. The pilot must transfer the part to another state. The loader comes to the plane, loads this part, and the plane goes to the runway, picks up speed and takes off. At this time, another passenger plane finds itself in the air and flies to the city. For some unknown reason, they don’t notice each other and the system doesn’t work on both planes and they crash into each other. At the cargo plane the tailgate falls off and falls into the road. The pilot of a cargo plane loses control, the pilot decides to make an emergency landing at a military airport in the countryside. Passenger plane completely catches fire and crashes in the city on the highway. Firefighters are quick to respond. A passenger plane is extinguished by one fire brigade, which was nearby, an ambulance takes the pilot to a medical center. And a cargo plane land at a military airport, where rescuers are also waiting for it. The landing is successful. Both crash places are under investigation.
